This is a comprehensive two-day course on endocrinology and diabetes geared toward primary care providers. There is an ongoing immense need for education in these areas as there have been vast changes in the field of endocrinology over the past decade. Primary care providers often are faced with diagnosing many endocrine conditions such as thyroid disorders, treatment of calcium disorders, osteoporosis as well as diabetes and obesity. Highlighted offerings on Day 1 include plenary lectures on management of thyroid nodules, osteoporosis update and workshops with interactive case management discussions.

This part of the program will provide timely information on new clinical trial data and address use of new therapeutic strategies in diabetes. Important highlights of this course include an update on the disparities in diabetes management and psychosocial aspects.
