USCAP Update On Hematopathology Classification: The International Consensus Classification Perspective 2023
USCAP Update On Hematopathology Classification: The International Consensus Classification Perspective 2023 The diagnosis and classification of hematopoietic tumors is increasingly complex and evolves rapidly.
- The introduction of the International Consensus Classification (ICC) of Myeloid and Lymphoid Neoplasms and publication of the proposed 5th edition World Health Organization (WHO) classification of the same tumors is the latest stage in this evolution and both further expand the clinical, morphologic, immunophenotypic and molecular genetic criteria for diagnosis.
- Join USCAP and learn from developers of the ICC on what is new in the classification of these tumors and how the ICC and proposed WHO compare. Leading clinical experts in hematology/oncology will also provide clinician perspectives on the importance of proper disease classification. The course will include disease specific lectures as well as opportunities to join experts in interactive microscopy sessions to gain practical knowledge on how to implement the new disease classifications into practice.
