Pulmo-Oncology is an emerging discipline that has great importance to the clinical care of cancer patients. The respiratory system is often impacted by direct cancer involvement as well as by infections and toxicities stemming from the use of anti-neoplastic agents. Pre-existing pulmonary disorders affect patient outcomes and management decisions. Effective clinical management of pulmonary complications of cancer and its therapies requires an interdisciplinary approach.
In this multidisciplinary symposium, clinical experts from Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) and around the world, will present an up-to-date overview on cutting edge cancer therapies and best practice strategies in the evaluation and management of lung disease. The purpose of this conference is to provide a state-of-the-art, case-based, multidisciplinary curriculum that addresses selected topics relevant to the respiratory health of patients with cancer.
The symposium offers participants the choice of attending either in person or virtually and is intended for healthcare professionals in pulmonology, hematology and oncology, and other disciplines involved in the care of cancer patients or who have a special interest in this area.
