Information:
- The Best of WCLC is an educational initiative of the IASLC designed to present a multi-disciplinary and multi-specialty approach to education, engaging both community and academic practitioners unable to attend the World Conference on Lung Cancer. The “Best of” program will condense the most exciting and practice-changing data from multiple disciplines into a single-day event to optimize information transfer from the WCLC to busy healthcare professionals, with a focus on the most important advances in the care of patients with thoracic malignancies.
- The program is designed to increase attendee competency in the latest developments in the field, translating into improved practice patterns. Together with IASLC, local faculty will pick from multi-disciplinary topics to select materials of most interest to local attendees. Presentations will be followed by an interactive panel discussion so that participants will be able to ask questions and receive immediate feedback from a multi-disciplinary panel, as appropriate for the topic. Example of topics to be included are information on advances in CT screening for lung cancer, diagnosis and staging, surgery and radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy, as well as highlighting results of recent clinical trials.
