This online course will build the basic skills required for interpretation for a variety of transcranial Doppler diagnostic and advanced studies. Using established guidelines and criteria, each subject will be explored as case studies are reviewed, analyzed, and discussed in an open and supportive atmosphere by our expert faculty. The case studies provided during this course may be used to help satisfy the 100 supervised studies required to take the ASN Neurosonology examination.
- Understand the anatomy, vessels, landmarks, and collateral pathways of the Circle of Willis
- Interpret 100 supervised case studies in a variety of TCD applications
- Develop an awareness of waveform morphology in normal and diseased states
- Improve reporting skills
- Identify opportunities for interprofessional collaboration with members of the team that interpret transcranial Doppler studies
