Learning Objectives

By attending, participants will be able to do the following:

Explain the integrated immune response as it applies to host defense ad immune-mediated diseases and recognize recent advances that may influence patient care.
Describe and critically appraise the immunologic mechanisms of action for targeted therapies and targeted synthetic therapies regarding the efficacy and safety across the immune mediate inflammatory diseases including psoriatic arthritis (PsA), spondyloarthritis (SpA), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), vasculitis, and others.
Describe recent advances in prevention and outpatient treatment of COVID-19 in immunocompromised patients, and the use of immune based therapies for hospitalized patients with severe disease.
Critically appraise data on the role of wellness behaviors on general health, immunologic health, and management of COVID-19 and its complications.
