The International Newborn Brain Conference (INBBC) provides a state-of-the-art forum for presentation and discussion of current research and clinical practice in newborn brain care, including diagnosis, monitoring and management strategies to optimize neurodevelopmental outcome. It explores the means to understand, monitor, protect and treat the newborn brain. The INBBC provides continuing medical education to multidisciplinary professionals working to improve the neurological and developmental health outcomes of premature and high-risk newborns.
The 16th International Newborn Brain Conference (INBBC 2025) will take place from February 19–21, 2025, in La Jolla, San Diego, California, USA. This annual event brings together a global community of clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals dedicated to improving neurological outcomes in newborns.
Target Audience:
This educational activity is intended for neonatologists, child neurologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, scientists and trainees involved or interested in newborn brain care.
Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be able to:
1. Implement evidence-based neuroprotection strategies to improve outcomes for neonates at risk for brain injury.
2. Recognize early clinical and diagnostic signs of neonatal brain injury to guide timely interventions.
3. Apply AI and emerging technologies into neonatal neurocritical care for enhanced diagnosis and treatment.
4. Evaluate and apply precision therapies for rare neuromuscular and metabolic disorders in neonates.
5. Develop multidisciplinary approaches to long-term neurodevelopmental care and follow-up for neonates with brain injuries.
6. Explain the implications of genetic and metabolic conditions on neonatal brain development and treatment strategies.
7. Recognize appropriate support systems for families to improve resource accessibility and care outcomes
The 16th International Newborn Brain Conference 2025 is designed for a multidisciplinary audience committed to advancing neonatal brain care. The target participants include:
- Neonatologists and child neurologists
- Advanced practice providers (e.g., nurse practitioners, physician assistants)
- NICU nurses and neonatal therapists
- Scientists and clinical researchers in neonatal neuroscience
- Medical trainees and fellows interested in newborn brain development and injury
- Healthcare professionals involved in neurocritical care and developmental follow-up
The conference emphasizes evidence-based neuroprotection, early diagnosis of brain injury, and the integration of emerging technologies like AI into neonatal care
