+ Target Audience: neurointensivists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, critical care physicians
+ Information:
The Johns Hopkins Neurocritical Care: Year in Review with Code ICH is designed to meet the needs of physicians who will be taking the recently approved ABPN ACGME Neurocritical Care Boards. This two and a half- day live activity is presented by Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and is organized by the pioneering Division of Neurocritical Care. The lecturers include renowned faculty from around the world as well as Johns Hopkins University Hospital Neurocritical Care Faculty. This course is a compendium of recent advances and will include a series of in-person lectures as well as supporting video and written lecture material. Topics include cerebral physiology, neuropharmacology, CSF physiology, Hydrocephalus, mechanical ventilation, cardiac augmentation, hemodynamic support, nutrition and gastrointestinal disorders, traumatic brain injury (TBI), unstable spine fractures, acute ischemic stroke, and additional session that will feature the newly revised ABPN ACGME requirements.
Objectives
- Recognize the core diagnosis and pathology for care delivered in the NCCU.
- Identify recent advances in the care of patients in the NCCU.
- Explain the use of monitoring equipment in the NCCU.
- Recognize and explain the appropriate use of procedures which are limited to the NCCU.
- Discuss and outline the fundamentals of care in the NCCU.
👩⚕️ Who Should Attend
